Anxiety and Depression
Anxiety and depression are different conditions, but they commonly occur together. Anxious thoughts or beliefs that are hard to control can make you feel restless and tense and interfere with your daily life. Depression can cause feelings of sadness, hopelessness and reduced energy. We will explore what you are going through, why you feel as you do and look at steps to address it.
Stress Management
Stress is an automatic physical, mental and emotional response to a difficult event or situation. Managing stress can help you lead a more balanced and healthier life.
Relationship Issues
Human relationships can at times be difficult to manage because they require us to change and evolve. We bring our unique perspectives, beliefs and behaviors into each relationship. In therapy I equip you with the skills you need to express yourself more clearly, listen with empathy and deepen your connection to those who mean the most to you.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness involves becoming more aware of the present moment including where we are and what we’re doing in a way that is nonjudgmental. The focus is on increasing our awareness of the thoughts, feelings and actions that hinder moving forward in a positive direction.
Trauma & Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (P.T.S.D.)
Most people experience some kind of trauma in their lifetime. With this understanding we can then heal old wounds, find more adaptive beliefs, learn coping strategies and move forward feeling more whole. PTSD criteria includes symptoms lasting longer than a month that are severe enough to interfere with daily functioning.
